about
vevibe is a relationship-first social network built for close friends. It has no public feeds, no follower counts, no algorithmic ranking, and no vanity metrics.
why this exists
Social networks were supposed to bring us closer to the people who matter. Instead, they turned connection into content, built broadcast stages, and replaced personal sharing with algorithmic performance.
vevibe exists to give people a quiet, private place to share everyday moments with their accepted friends without an audience.
who pays for this
Nobody, yet. vevibe is free and self-funded, and there is no revenue model. That is a real answer rather than a modest one. It means the product is not paying for itself, and at some point that has to change.
When it does, it will be something you pay for, not something you're sold. No ads, no data brokering, no advertiser deciding what your feed looks like. I don't know yet whether that means a subscription, a paid tier, or something else, and I would rather say so than invent a plan I haven't made.
You will hear about it here before it happens.
who's building this
Me. One person. There's no team, no investors, and no board asking about growth.
I built vevibe because I stopped posting. Not deliberately. I opened the app one day and realised I had not seen anything from anyone I actually knew in weeks, and that I had not put anything up in months because it had started to feel like submitting work for review.
Being one person is a constraint and I'd rather say so than have you find out. Things ship slowly here. But it also means nothing in this product is the result of a growth target, because there is no growth target, and nobody to answer to who would set one.
